The City of Chandler Parks & Recreation has partnered with the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to become a Certified Autism Center.
This certification recognizes the work Chandler Parks & Recreation has put into providing inclusive facilities, programs, and staff to the community.
A focus on inclusion across all areas of parks and recreation will continue to evolve and expand to meet the needs of residents because, in Chandler, everyone plays.
Certified Parks & Recreation Staff
More than 500 employees have undergone specialized training through the IBCCES to ensure they have the tools to help every community member have a memorable experience at Chandler Parks and Recreation Centers. The training empowers employees to create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
The Certified Autism Center training focuses on autism awareness and understanding, communication skills, sensory awareness, and program development.
