Recycling and Trash (Solid Waste) Services are part of the Public Works & Utilities and is accountable for providing safe, cost-effective and efficient solid waste programs and services to the residents of Chandler.
These programs and services include residential curbside collection of refuse (black cans), recyclables (blue cans), scheduled bulk collection, and household hazardous waste disposal. Solid Waste Services operates the Recycling-Solid Waste Collection Center and has an extensive public outreach program to heighten awareness of its programs and the importance of recycling.

Household Hazardous Waste Giveaway Event

Recycling-Solid Waste Collection Center
To promote reuse of HHW items, the city accpets them throughout the year for the annual HHW Giveaway Event which are available for free to Chandler residents who receive solid waste services or live in a Chandler multi-family unit. The quantity and type of items available vary greatly. Household hazardous waste will not be collected at this event. However, residents can call Solid Waste Customer Service at 480-782-3510 to make an appointment to drop off items.
