ADA Transition Plan

In December 2020, the City completed an update of the City's existing ADA Transition Plan, as well as a complete Self-Evaluation of all City parks, facilities and public rights-of-way to ensure the City's programs and facilities are in compliance with federal ADA law. The 2016 ADA Transition Plan Update assessed all other City programs for compliance with ADA law, and the 2016 Transition Plan findings and recommendations for these programs are still in effect. The purpose of the Transition Plan is to identify and recommend corrections to programmatic, building, and infrastructure obstacles that prevent full access to City programs and services. The Transition Plan consists of a list of physical barriers present at the time of the Self-Evaluation and a detailed outline of the methods to be used to remove these barriers.

The public is invited to review the City of Chandler 2020 ADA Transition Plan. Comments may be directed to the ADA Coordinator at 480-782-3402 (or 711 via AZ Relay Service) or ada.coordinator@chandleraz.gov.
