Chandler provides an exceptional quality of life to residents and businesses. This includes an abundance of parks, special events, art performances, exhibitions, public art, public safety and recreational programs and activities.
Some of the priorities in the quality of life focus area in the City’s 2022-2023 budget include training and technology for public safety personnel and identification of social issues in specific neighborhoods, consideration of the resources needed for special events, improvements to the recreational facility user experience and the pursuit of grants for visual and performing arts.
Proposed Related Budget Items:
- Rebuilding of Fire Station #2
- Park maintenance and improvements, including tree and shrub replacement
- Funds for City events such as the Tumbleweed Tree Lighting and Parade of Lights, Jazz Festival and CinePark
- New computers and hand-held radios for the Police Department
