Things to Do at the Chandler Nature Center
An in-town oasis for exploration, the Chandler Nature Center is a place to discover learning through adventure. Located in the heart of Southeast Chandler, the Center is dedicated to offering affordable recreation and leisure opportunities, with an emphasis on nature, science, and the environment.
From nature hikes in the park to Southwest garden maintenance to “Meet the Creature” exhibits, there are a variety of ways to connect with your natural surroundings.

Every month, the Chandler Nature Center offers free drop-in programs that do not require pre-registration.
- Meet the Snakes | First Monday and Fridays, 3:30 p.m.
- Plant Clinic | First Thursday of every month, 6 p.m.
- Family Bird Walks | First Saturday of every month, every 30 minutes starting at 8 a.m. (November - April)
- Trout Time | Second Friday of every month, 3:30 p.m.
- Chandler Solar System Walk | Self-guided during open hours
- Outdoor Discovery Field Packs | Self-guided during open hours
There are so many ways to explore at the Chandler Nature Center! Read through the seasonal Break Time magazine to see what fun activities are available. Registration and participation fees may be required.
Break Time is published quarterly.
- Spring (March - May): Available the third Friday of January
- Summer (June - August): Available the third Friday of April
- Fall (September - November): Available the third Friday of July
- Winter (December - February): Available the third Friday of October
