The City’s Neighborhood Resources Department will host a grant orientation session for organizations interested in applying for FY 2019-20 General Funds, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and Home Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) funding. The session will be conducted from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Oct. 24, at the City Council Chambers, 88 E. Chicago St. Funding criteria and application guidelines for Fiscal Year 2019-2020 will be available at chandleraz.gov/community the week of Oct. 15, 2018.
The Neighborhood Resources Department oversees the annual allocation of more than $2.5 million in local and federal funding for human services; housing rehabilitation and capital improvements; and neighborhood revitalization activities benefitting Chandler residents. The City’s current priorities can be found in the 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan at bit.ly/FY15-19HUDconsolidatedplan.
Agencies that have not previously received funding through the City of Chandler human services allocations process, or have not received funding in the past three years, are required to attend the grant orientation session. The session will include an in-depth review of the application, the allocations process, and ZoomGrants, the web-based software utilized for the application process.
