CHANDLER, Ariz. – The Chandler City Council recently approved the allocation of city General Funds in the amount of $2,083,776.27 to several local nonprofit organizations as they each carry out their mission to help residents in need.
These funds were authorized under the guidance and recommendations from Chandler’s Housing and Human Services Commission.
The following list features the organizations receiving an allocation (identified by priorities from a previous Community Needs Assessment), and the dollar amount recommended to receive:

- About Care, Inc. – Empowering Independent Living: $50,000
- About Care, Inc. – Senior Community Wellness Collaboration: $30,000
- Aid to Adoption of Special Kids – AASK Mentoring Program: $10,000
- Arizona Burn Foundation – Early Childhood Burn Prevention & Fire Safety Education Program: $20,000

- AZCEND – Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program – IHELP: $100,000
- AZCEND – Neighborhood Assistance Services: $130,000
- AZCEND – Senior Nutrition Program: $150,000
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona – Chandler Mentoring for At-Risk Youth: $15,000
- Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley Inc. – Boys & Girls Clubs - Chandler Compadres Branch: $55,000
- Chandler CARE Center Children's Medical and Dental Clinic: $174,676.50

- Recreation and Athletics for Individuals with Disabilities (RAD) – Payment Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities (PAID): $15,000
- Resurrection Street Ministry, Inc. – Driving Our Chandler Veterans 2024: $10,000
- Resurrection Street Ministry, Inc. – Feeding Our Chandler Neighbors 2024: $30,000
- Save the Family Foundation of Arizona - Rapid Rehousing for Chandler Families: $120,000
- Semicolon Society – Semicolon Society Community Hope Project: $15,000
- St. Joseph the Worker – Employment Without Barriers Program: $10,000
- The Salvation Army, A California Corporation – Chandler Corps Client Choice Food Pantry: $20,000
- The Salvation Army, A California Corporation – Housing Stability Assistance: $50,000
- United Food Bank – The Emergency Food Assistance Program Chandler: $10,000
- Valley of the Sun YMCA – Chandler Family YMCA Chandler i-Learn Program: $20,000
These allocations are available through several funds — including the city’s Social Services Fund (SSF), the Youth Enhancement Program (YEP) and a City Council designation for veterans transportation and one-time funding. In addition, more than $25,000 in contributions made by Chandler residents through utility bill donations are part of the allocated amount.
