CHANDLER, Ariz. – Writers from all over Arizona will convene at the Chandler Public Library’s Local Author Fair this March. The two-day event features intimate discussions with published authors and a celebration of creativity and community.
“This is our second year celebrating the Local Author Fair in Chandler,” said Jean Reynolds, program manager at Chandler Public Library. “It is an interactive event that connects book lovers with the people behind the pages. Whether you’re an aspiring writer or just love the written word, there is something for everyone at the Author Fair.”
The free, family-friendly event occurs March 1 and 2 at the Chandler Downtown Library. Event activities include:
Saturday, March 1
- Storytime with Local Author Dawnielle Edwards, 10:15 a.m. – This special storytime features Dawnielle Edwards reading her charming children’s book, “Birthday Underpants.”
- Beyond the Pages: Local Author Talks, 1-4 p.m. – Book lovers and aspiring authors will enjoy chatting with local authors Amy Fellner Dominy and Robert Pela. During their sessions, attendees will gain valuable insights, strategies and practical advice to inspire budding authors.
Sunday, March 2
- Local Author Fair, 1-3:30 p.m. – Visit dozens of local authors, from zine creators to novelists. Dive into the diverse spectrum of the author community and enjoy intimate conversations with writers to understand their work. Tap into your creativity with zine-themed activities presented by Wasted Ink. “Type” into the past with an interactive area featuring classic typewriters.
