CHANDLER, Ariz. – Unleash your curiosity at the annual Chandler Innovation Fair! The City of Chandler and Chandler Unified School District (CUSD) invite the public to the annual event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025.
Join the city and CUSD (Arizona’s 2nd largest public school district) as they showcase local innovators, tech companies, artists and students who are shaping tomorrow—right here in our community. Engage in more than 160 interactive exhibits from companies and schools with live demonstrations that explain the basics of science and creative showcases that bring science and tech to life in a fun and exciting way.
Perfect for families, students and curious minds of all ages, the Chandler Innovation Fair is your chance to see, touch and explore the world of innovation happening in your own backyard, including displays and experiments from CUSD.
Event sponsor Northrop Grumman will launch a model/static rocket every half hour and their scientists and engineers will have 30+ interactive activities on display. Northrop Grumman also will have a passport for kids to earn stamps as they complete each activity.
Intel, Chandler’s largest employer, will have employee volunteers to coach students and families on how to assemble tiny robots.
The free one-day, hands-on fair will be in Downtown Chandler, at Dr. A.J. Chandler Park: Stage Plaza, 178 E. Commonwealth Ave., between Buffalo and Boston streets along Commonwealth Avenue. Free parking for the event is available at The Johnathan parking garage (south of Buffalo Street, east of Arizona Avenue), or The Alexander parking garage (north of Boston Street, east of Arizona Avenue).
The Chandler Innovation Fair is part of the Arizona SciTech Festival, a statewide movement to promote and celebrate science in our daily lives and to earn recognition for Arizona as a science and technology hub. After competing in the Chandler Innovation Fair, many CUSD students go on to compete in the state festival. During the fair, there will be a handful of schools participating in a competition for a $500 prize. These winning schools will be honored during the Chandler City Council meeting this spring.
This year’s event sponsors include Northrop Grumman, Google Fiber, Intel, Microchip, NXP, Cirrus Logic, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, SRP, WM of Arizona, PRIDE Group and GameTruck East Valley. Both the city and CUSD are grateful for their support in bringing hands-on science exploration to the community.
