CHANDLER, Ariz. –The City of Chandler Community Services Recreation Division invites seniors and their families to a day of fun and valuable resources at the annual Senior Expo on March 5.
The Senior Expo will feature a diverse selection of more than 60 exhibitors showcasing health and wellness services, financial and retirement planning, recreational opportunities and more. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with local organizations, receive free health screenings and explore resources that support an active and fulfilling lifestyle.
“The Chandler Senior Expo not only provides valuable resources but also celebrates the talents and energy of our seniors,” said Trevor Groth, Chandler Recreation Coordinator. “We’re also excited to feature a pop-up art show featuring artwork from Chandler’s seniors this year.”
This year’s expo is presented by Medtronic and sponsored by Alignment Health Plan and Arizona Priority Care, Caring Transitions and Dignity Health Orthopedic & Sports Medicine.
The expo is free to attend and is perfect for individuals who are soon to be retiring, those already retired and children of aging adults. Doors open at 9 a.m. and the expo runs until noon. Free parking is available. Chandler Community Center is located at 125 E. Commonwealth Ave.
Just two weeks later, the community is invited to the much-anticipated Spice of Life Senior Variety Show where talented seniors will take the stage to showcase their singing, dancing, comedy and other performing arts skills. The show is a beloved tradition that highlights the creativity and vibrancy of Chandler’s senior community.
The 2025 show is dedicated to Arlene “Strannie” Strandberg, who was the Director of the Spice of Life Variety Show for many years. Strandberg passed away in 2024.
“Strannie will be deeply missed in this year’s show,” said Groth. “We are honored to dedicate this performance to her, celebrating the lasting impact she had on the show and its performers.”
The public is invited to watch the show at the Chandler Center of the Arts, offering two performance options:
- March 19 at 2 p.m.
- March 20 at 7 p.m.
