Beginning in the summer of 2020, the City of Chandler has taken important steps forward in our commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI).
A citywide community survey was completed in 2020, which then led to the selection of an outside consultant who conducted an internal and external citywide assessment of Chandler’s DEI efforts. In 2023, as a result of the input provided by residents and city employees, the City of Chandler created a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Strategic Plan. This working document summarizes current efforts towards inclusion and belonging, and outlines expanded efforts in other areas to make much more of an impact.
