Public Safety Fair
Each year the Chandler Police and Fire departments partner to host a Public Safety Fair. The free event showcases the work they do to keep residents safe and the equipment they use. There's plenty to see, touch and explore, so come join us to learn more about public safety.
The event is part of Public Safety’s ongoing efforts to educate residents about the services provided by both departments and to share safety, prevention and emergency preparedness information and resources.
There will be apparatus displays and demonstrations from both departments along with many activities for children. This fair will also feature the Chandler Car Cavalcade, food, and vendors.
- Police and Fire vehicles on display
- Free child fingerprinting, balloons, junior fire helmets, badge stickers and more
- Demonstrations include a fiery collision scene, vehicle extraction techniques and hands-only CPR classes, as well as several Police Department units including K-9, SWAT and Tactical Robot.
- Free health screenings from University of Arizona's mobile health unit
- Fire Safety House display, giving children hands-on instruction on how to escape a smoke-filled environment
- Informational booths hosted by City staff and other nonprofits
- Community vendors
In addition to all the public safety equipment, displays, and demonstrations, another event highlight will be the Chandler Car Cavalcade. Come see custom cars, hot rods and more. Car owners and enthusiasts are encouraged to participate and may register on Eventbrite. All proceeds from the car show will benefit the Chandler Family Advocacy Center.
Free parking is available and within walking distance at the Chandler City Hall parking garage located at 240 S. Washington St., or the Alexander parking garage at 100 E. Boston St.
