On April 26, 2025, the City of Chandler will be hosting Freedom, Hope, Culture: Celebrating South Vietnam Culture, an event that will celebrate the history and triumphs of South Vietnamese community members. On the 50th anniversary of the Fall of Saigon, this event will tell the stories of the people behind the photos.
As part of this event, the Chandler Museum is seeking people and family members of people who are from Vietnam to share stories about how they have been impacted by the Vietnam Conflict. There are two different opportunities available:
- Record an oral history that will be used to create a display at the event on April 26. These oral histories will be preserved to help tell the story of Chandler's history and culture.
- Share a 10-minute segment of your story on stage at the event on April 26.
If you are from Vietnam and would like to share your story, or if you would like to share the story of a family member who is from Vietnam, simply fill out the form with as much information as you can.
The Museum also welcomes donations of photographs and objects which help tell your stories. Digital photographs can be submitted using the form. To donate original photographs or other items that help document your story, please contact Chandler Museum at 480-782-2717.
