The "Ceangal" art exhibition, meaning "Connections" in Irish, will be showcased at the Chandler Museum from March 15th to July 20th, 2025. This collaborative exhibition brings together a diverse group of artists and writers from Chandler and Tullamore, Ireland, reflecting the unique cultural exchange between the two sister cities. The exhibition features a range of media, including visual art, photography, writing, and film, with each work exploring the landscapes, landmarks, and shared experiences of both communities.
Artists from Chandler, Arizona and Tullamore, Ireland partnered together to capture the essence of both cities, drawing connections between their natural environments, historical landmarks, and cultural identities.
The exhibition not only celebrates the artistic talent from both cities but also deepens the bond between Chandler and Tullamore, which have been sister cities for 15 years. Through "Ceangal," the artists explore themes of cultural exchange, shared heritage, and the ways in which art can bridge distances. The exhibit will be a unique opportunity for visitors to experience the beauty and history of both cities through the eyes of talented local artists.
The Chandler artists represented in this exhibition are Laurie Fagen (Fiber Artist), Devon Hancock (Videographer), Lynne Hartke (Writer), and Bob Rice (Photographer).
