Recycling and Trash (Solid Waste) Services are part of the Public Works & Utilities and is accountable for providing safe, cost-effective and efficient solid waste programs and services to the residents of Chandler.
These programs and services include residential curbside collection of refuse (black cans), recyclables (blue cans), scheduled bulk collection, and household hazardous waste disposal. Solid Waste Services operates the Recycling-Solid Waste Collection Center and has an extensive public outreach program to heighten awareness of its programs and the importance of recycling.

Thursday, Nov. 27 & Friday, Nov. 28 | Thanksgiving Holiday
Our office and Recycling-Solid Waste Collection Center will be closed on Thurs., Nov. 27 and Fri., Nov. 28 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
There WILL be changes to the collection schedule the week of Thanksgiving.
- Trash and recycling will be picked up as normal on Mon., Tue and Wed.
- Trash and recycling are NOT collected on Thanksgiving Day.
- If your regular collection day is Thursday, place your container out on Friday
- If your regular collection day is Friday, place your container out on Saturday.
- To ensure collection, containers must be at the curb by 6 a.m.
