The mission of Code Enforcement is to improve the quality of life in the City of Chandler and promote the public health, safety and welfare of the community by protecting neighborhoods and property values from blight, decline and deterioration. Code Enforcement works in partnership with the residents of Chandler by using education, inspection and enforcement of the city's property maintenance, zoning and sign codes. Owners and residents are responsible for property maintenance and the maintenance of sidewalks and alleyways bordering their property.

- Inspection conducted
- If property is found to be in violation appropriate notice(s) issued
- Notice of Violation given to resident allowing time for corrections
- Re-inspection conducted
- Final Notice of Violation issued if violation(s) not corrected
- Re-inspection conducted
- Civil Citation(s) issued if violation(s) still not corrected
- Criminal prosecution filed if not corrected after the civil citation process
