Mayor Tibshraeny’s Jobs Initiative Connects Residents to Work; Chandler Career Connect to be held March 29

CHANDLER, Ariz. - The City of Chandler is hosting Chandler Career Connect, a Valley wide job fair from 4 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, at the Chandler Center for the Arts, 250 N. Arizona Ave. The expansive event features more than 20 employers, career experts and motivational speakers and includes a pre-event resume review to ensure candidates are prepared to meet employers. Chandler Career Connect is free and open to the public.

Chandler Career Connect is a direct result of Mayor Jay Tibshraeny’s outreach to the community, as he responds to the concerns of both employers and residents. “Knowing that unemployment is among our most vital concerns as a city and as a nation, I have worked with staff to launch Chandler Career Connect. Our hope is to bring together dozens of companies, agencies and educational entities to meet with residents who wish to pursue new employment opportunities,” said Mayor Tibshraeny.

To ensure that job-seekers are prepared for on-the-spot interviews at Career Connect, a resume review day is being offered four days prior to the event, Friday, March 25 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Downtown Chandler Library, 22 S
