Chandler Fire Stations and Support Facilities

The City of Chandler Fire Department maintains 10 fire stations strategically located to achieve the shortest response time to emergency calls. The department also maintains a regional fire training facility as well as a mechanical maintenance center.

The fire stations are located to accommodate a 4-minute travel time to emergencies. This equates to approximately a 2-mile radius around the station. Stations are located as close as possible to the center of an area of projected need. The actual strategic locations have been affected by traffic issues as well as land availability, however most stations are very close to their ideal location. Fire department senior staff and labor representatives are in the process of exploring a possible relocation of the existing Fire Station 1 (281).

The department’s support services buildings include mechanical maintenance and the regional fire training center. These structures are located in a manner to minimize impact to residential areas. These facilities are necessary to supporting the main mission of emergency response with repair of vehicles and equipment, as well as training for firefighters in a large part of the southeast valley.

The facility also is used to train Intel response teams, the Chandler Fire Cadets and the Community Emergency Response Team. The Emergency Medical Services Division resides at the FTC but in it's own building. Because of its outstanding reputation, the EMS Training Division also trains the four other area fire departments.
