Campaign Leadership

Campaign Chair

Matt Orlando, Chandler City Councilmember; Colonel U.S. Air Force (Retired)

“Recognizing and remembering our nation’s
servicemen  and women who have defended
the freedom we enjoy has always been the
right thing to do. We ask you to strongly
consider being a part of making this Veterans
Memorial a point of pride for Chandler and the
East Valley. It is our hope that you will consider
making a generous donation
to our cause.”

Honorary Campaign Chairs

Barbara Bogle
Longtime Chandler resident Barbara Bogle and her husband, Jackson (former Adjutant General for the Army and Air National Guard for Arizona) moved to Chandler in 1942. The Bogles have a long history of community service in service organizations, arts and culture, historical preservation, and education. Although Jackson passed away in 2005, Barbara continues to be an important community philanthropist.

Major Fred Ferguson, U.S. Army (Retired), Medal of Honor Recipient
A resident of Chandler since 1979, Major Fred Ferguson earned the Congressional Medal of Honor in 1968 after distinguishing himself during the Vietnam War and saving the lives of five comrades. After a long and significant military career where he rose to the rank of Major, Fred continued his public service as an instructor pilot for the Arizona Army National Guard.
