Recreation Class Registration Procedures:
Mail-In or Drop-Off
The Break Time brochure has all the forms and information you need to register for classes. You can also register online!
Mail-In and Drop-Off Registration Dates
Mail-in and drop-off registration will be accepted as soon as you receive the Break Time magazine and will be combined and processed randomly. No registrations will be processed prior to February 4. Registration forms received after noon on February 6 will be processed by the date received and in random order starting February 6. Registrations dropped off at 8 a.m. have no priority over those received later in the day, or those received in the mail the same day. The City of Chandler is not responsible for lost or misdirected mail.

1. MAIL-IN REGISTRATION (check, credit card, account credit, money order, debit)
Since some classes fill up early, you are encouraged to mail your registration in as soon as you receive and review the Break Time magazine. Simply fill out the appropriate registration form and include your payment. Mail all registrations to: Mail Stop 501, P.O. Box 4008, Chandler, AZ 85244-4008. The City of Chandler is not responsible for lost or misdirected mail.
Please write attention to one of the following programs: Recreation Class Registration, Aquatic Registration, Apples to Zebras, or Teen Programs.
Please make checks payable to the "City of Chandler."
2. DROP OFF REGISTRATION (check, credit card, account credit, money order, debit)
A drop box is located in the lobby of the Chandler Community Center and the Snedigar Recreation Center. Place your completed registration form and payment in the drop box as soon as you receive this brochure. Drop-Off registrations will be handled just like those that are mailed. Make checks payable to "City of Chandler."
All winter recreation and special-interest classes will take place during the months of December, January and February.
All classes will be held at the Chandler Community Center, 125 E. Commonwealth, or Snedigar Recreation Center, 4500 S. Basha Rd., or at Andersen Jr. High School, Willis Jr. High, and San Tan K-8. Room numbers are listed in those class descriptions. If you have any questions, please call 480-782-2727 or 480-782-2640.
The City reserves the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrollment. Early registration is encouraged to help prevent course cancellation due to an apparent lack of interest. If a class or program is cancelled, you will be notified and offered an alternative choice, if available. If no alternative is available, a full refund or credit on account (your choice) will be issued within 30 days. The City also reserves the right to cancel, postpone, combine classes, change rooms, or change instructors as needed.
The Parks and Recreation Divisions are committed to excellence by providing high-quality programs and services. If you are not satisfied, you are encouraged to share your feedback with the downtown Community Center staff at 480-782-2727, with the Snedigar Recreation Center staff at (480) 782-2640, or with the Aquatics staff at 480-782-2753.
Cancellation requests and refunds are not available online.
If you wish to cancel your class or program enrollment, you must notify the Recreation Division at -480-782-2727 or 782-2640, or the Aquatics office at 782-2756 or 782-2752, at least 48 hours prior to the class start date for a full refund. Less than 48 hours notice will result in a 50 percent refund. Refunds are not available after 50 percent of the course/class session is complete, or after the second class for swim lessons. Supply fee refunds will be pro-rated based on attendance.
Medical emergencies will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
Note: Some activities have a "No Refund" policy. This will be written in the activity description.
Enrollees must be of age limitation for the attending activity.
Non-registered individuals are NOT ALLOWED in classrooms, either as an observer, family member or dependent, unless class description specifies otherwise. All classrooms have windows available for observation.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF REGISTRATION
You will receive a confirmation receipt to verify enrollment in a class.
Gift certificates can be purchased for recreational programs. See the receptionist at the Community Center or at the Snedigar Recreation Center.
We are looking for anyone who may be interested in offering a special interest class, such as classes listed in this brochure, or that you have a talent in. Early childhood, dance, tumbling and preschool age instructors are especially needed. If interested, please call 480-782-2727.
The City of Chandler will not prohibit any individual from participating in an activity due to a medical condition or impairment, unless such impairment is likely to cause injury to the individual or other participants. A participant who has been told by a medical professional that he/she has a medical condition which is likely to cause harm to themselves or other participants is obligated to inform the City of this condition or to withdraw from the program.

Chandler’s municipal parking structure is located at 100 E. Boston, just south of the Community Center. The structure provides convenient parking for Community Center, Senior Center and Library patrons. Public entrance is on the east side of the garage. The garage is open 7 days a week 24 hours a day.
RETURNED CHECK POLICY
A $25 service charge will be assessed for any returned check.
Some classes will require students to purchase supplies to participate in class. Cost of materials will vary depending on the class content. The supply fee should be given directly to the instructor on the first day of class.
The City of Chandler Community Services Department, Parks and Recreation Division, has a scholarship program to assist economically disadvantaged families and individuals with improving their quality of life through leisure opportunities. Scholarships are available for the following programs: Youth Sports, Special Interest Classes, and Swim Lessons. To qualify for the scholarship program, individuals/families must meet criteria established by the Federal Government for Maricopa County. Please note: All City records are subject to the State of Arizona public records law. Social security numbers, and bank account information are confidential information and the City of Chandler will not release such information without a court order. All other information is subject to release.
