CPR & First Aid Training Classes

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) & First Aid Training Classes
  • The Chandler Fire, Health & Medical Department offers classes in Basic CPR & First Aid on the third Saturday of every month.  The training provided is the American Heart Association "Heartsaver" class and includes training in adult, child, and infant CPR and AED. This CPR class is NOT a healthcare provider class. The minimum age for the CPR training class is 14. A certification card will be issued upon completion of the training. The cost for CPR training and First Aid is $40 per person, and the class fees must be paid in advance. A minimum of four people is required to hold each class. Cancellations must be made at least one week before a scheduled class. If the minimum number of participants is not met, we will gladly reschedule for you. View the CPR & First Aid Class Calendar and call 480-782-2120 to register for a class.

  • Bee Swarms and Attacks
    Bees must be taken seriously. Stings can be life threatening. If you or a family member have been stung, immediately contact Poison Control at 602-253-3334 to determine whether the sting can be managed at home or needs medical attention. Parents, take a moment to tell your children what to do if there are bees in the area. Do not try to remove the bees yourself, and do not call 9-1-1 unless the bees are attacking and someone is in a life-threatening situation.     The Arizona Poison & Drug Information Center serves the citizens of Arizona by providing accessible emergency treatment advice, referral assistance and comprehensive information on poisons and toxins from bites and stings. Scorpions, Black Widow spiders, ants, bees, wasps and snakes are just some of the venomous creatures in Arizona that can bite or sting you. These creatures prefer to avoid human contact, but when provoked can attack.

  • Vial of Life Program
    The Vial of Life program is designed to notify emergency personnel of vital medical information. In the case where communication is not possible or is difficult, the information from the Vial of Life may be critical in assisting the Chandler Fire Department Paramedics with your medical treatment.
