 Health Connect Expo
On Saturday, April 6, the Tumbleweed Recreation Center will host Mayor Jay Tibshraeny's Health Connect Expo as part of his wellness initiative.
This free, family-friendly event will feature dozens of health conscious vendors, fitness and cooking demonstrations, speakers, free giveaways and more.
The event runs from 9 a.m. to noon at the Center, located at Tumbleweed Recreation Center, 745 E. Germann Road (just west of McQueen Road).
There will also be racquetball and Ping-Pong tournaments.
The event is co-sponsored by Chandler Regional Medical Center.
The Health Expo will include:

Jonathan Hodgson, D.O.
Dr. Jonathan Hodgson is board certified in Clinical Neurology. He received his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Drexel University College of Medicine, both in Philadelphia, Penn. He also completed a transitional internship at St. Francis Medical Center. Dr. Hodgson also went on to complete his fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at Drexel University College of Medicine. Dr. Hodgson serves the East Valley as the medical director of Mercy Gilbert Medical Center’s Stroke Center. |

Dr. Daniel Merrill is board certified in Psychiatry. He received his medical degree from Saint Louis University and completed his residency at Maricopa Integrated Health System where he served as chief resident. Dr. Merrill is the medical director for the department of psychiatry at Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers. |

Known throughout the world as a Master Teacher, Choreographer, and Adjudicator, she specializes in Tap, Hip Hop, Jazz, and Theater. Stacy J’s amazing choreography has accumulated much notoriety throughout the international dance, theatre, and film venues. Stacy J can be seen in several TV commercials and recently performed live in Arizona’s own “Dead by Dessert” dinner theatre! She is a Graduate of Disney University and holds a BFA Degree in Theatre. |

Brian Rocco is a Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Production Professional & Food Management Professional. He received his Culinary Degree from Scottsdale Culinary Institute Le Cordon Bleu. He is currently the Executive Chef at Chandler Regional Medical Center. Most Recently Brian was appointed as the Regional Wellness Champion and will assist in the process of implementing Healthy Food Choices at several other Health Care settings. |
