Median repairs to restrict traffic lanes

Repairs to damaged medians in streets around the City will reduce traffic lanes on a number of major arterials over the next several months.

The work to replace, repair or add pavers to the damaged medians will begin after morning rush hour and conclude before evening rush hour and require closure of the inside lanes closest to the medians. The work will take place in phases, with the first phase occurring at the following locations through early July (dates are approximate):
  • Ray Road west of Desert Breeze Boulevard (June 5-8)
  • Ray Road west of Juniper Drive (June 9-15)
  • Chandler Boulevard west of Rural Road (June 16-22)
  • Dobson Road south of Armstrong Way (June 22-28)
  • Chandler Heights Road east of Gilbert Road (June 29-July 4)
  • Lindsay Road south of Cloud Road (July 5-10)
The three-phase project will repair center medians at 28 locations and take seven months to complete. The work is being performed by ELS Construction of Phoenix and cost $470,000. For more information, call 480-782-3500. Also visit www.chandleraz.gov/infomap to view road restrictions Citywide.
