Four candidates to interview for Chandler's Fire Chief

Four candidates will interview for the Fire Chief position to lead Chandler’s Fire, Health and Medical Department, following a national recruitment that resulted in more than 50 applications. A series of interviews will be conducted on May 12th with the following candidates:

Tom Dwiggins, Interim Fire Chief in Chandler, Arizona. He has 25 years of fire department experience and oversees all operations for the Chandler Fire, Health and Medical Department. He has served as Assistant Fire Chief since 2014.
 
Karl Isselhard, Assistant Fire Chief in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He has 20 years of fire department experience and oversees emergency medical services and human resources for the Albuquerque Fire Department.

David Kean, retired as Assistant Fire Chief in Long Beach, California. He has 30 years of fire department experience and oversaw the Operations Bureau with responsibility for all field operations at the Long Beach Fire Department.

Randy Talifarro, Fire Chief for the cities of Lansing and East Lansing, Michigan. He has 30 years of fire department experience and oversees all operations for the Lansing Fire Department and East Lansing Fire Department.

The Fire Chief directs and manages the City’s Fire, Health & Medical Department through professional leadership. The department is internationally accredited and positioned to meet the community’s needs through prevention and emergency response for fire, health and medical services.
