Undermined pavement closes right turn lane at Price-Dobson
The dedicated right turn lane on southbound Price Road where it curves to meet southbound Dobson Road near the Orbital Sciences corporate campus has been closed for repairs due to a small area of collapsing pavement.
A section of the southbound right turn lane has been undermined due to erosion of the subgrade, resulting in a hole approximately four feet square and four feet deep. The cause is under investigation.
Motorists still are able to turn right onto southbound Dobson Road from Price Road, but must do it at the Price/Dobson intersection, instead of using the sweeping dedicated right turn lane.
Work to repair the road is expected to take several days. |
