Widening of McQueen Road requires closure starting Nov. 10

CHANDLER, Ariz. – McQueen Road will be closed November 10 through December 23 between Queen Creek Road and Appleby Road. This closure will allow the City to widen the concrete bridge that crosses the Consolidated Canal just north of Appleby Road.

McQueen is a two-lane road south of Queen Creek Road to the City’s border at Hunt Highway. The bridge work is part of the McQueen Road Improvement Project that began October 19 which will widen McQueen to six lanes between Queen Creek and Ocotillo roads.

Two additional phases will widen McQueen in subsequent years to four lanes south of Ocotillo Road to Hunt highway. More information is available by visiting the project Web site. A project hotline (1-877-799-6819) is available for reporting concerns or emergencies.
