Chandler Veterans Day holiday service schedule

City of Chandler service closures for the Veterans Day holiday on Wednesday, November 11 are as follows:
  • City administrative offices will be closed on Wednesday, November 11. 
  • Trash and recycling collection will be unaffected by the holiday. Wednesday collections will occur as scheduled. 
  • The Recycling-Solid Waste Collection Center for residential self-haul will be closed (normally closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays).
  • Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center (play pool only, lap swim cancelled) is open normal hours, 4-6 p.m.
  • Chandler Tennis Center at Tumbleweed Park will be open as scheduled 8 a.m.-noon and 3-10 p.m.
  • Tumbleweed Recreation Center at Tumbleweed Park will be open regular hours from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • The Environmental Education Center, Snedigar Recreation Center, Senior Center and downtown Community Center will be closed.
  • Libraries (Chandler, Basha, Hamilton, Sunset) will be closed.
  • The Chandler Museum will be open for a special event from 1-3 p.m.
Veterans Day Event
Chandler will unveil a new interpretive history kiosk that recognizes Chandler World War II veterans on Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at 12:30 p.m., downtown in Dr. A.J. Chandler Park. Then the event will move to the Chandler Museum at 1:30 p.m. and conclude at approximately 2:30 p.m.
