Mayor Dunn Represents Chandler at International Conference

CHANDLER, Ariz. – Mayor Boyd Dunn has been invited to China to take part in an international conference on sustainable development, industrialization and technology.  Conference organizers are paying all expenses for the Mayor to travel to the first Caofeidian Forum 2009 in the City of Tangshan, located in North China.

The Caofeidian Forum will be October 15 to 17 at the Caofeidian Bohai International Convention Center in Tangshan.  Mayor Dunn was asked to attend because of Chandler’s broad economic development strategies and strong base of high technology businesses.

Other invitees include about 10 Mayors from the United States, representatives from the United Nations, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, and Forbes 500 enterprises.

The conference focuses on sustainable development and technology, and is sponsored by the Hebei Provincial Government, Ministry of Land & Resources, Ministry of Environmental Protection and Development Research Center of the State Council of China.
