Star Party

Ready to do some star gazing? Check out the night sky through telescopes, and have questions answered by star experts. The East Valley Astronomy Club will bring their telescopes for visitors to explore Arizona's amazing night sky. This is your opportunity to view the moon, planets, double stars, nebulae, star clusters and more.

Chandler comes to life with live music in the park the third Thursday of the month - October through March. It’s time to face the music. Head over to Veteran's Oasis Park with your blankets, chairs and coolers to enjoy a free concert under the stars. Snacks and beverages will be available for a small fee.

Earth Day and Arbor Day Celebration
Saturday, April 22

9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Show Mother Earth some love by attending Chandler’s annual Earth and Arbor Day Celebration. This free, family-friendly event includes live animal presentations, craft activities, food and beverage vendors, and information booths featuring a variety of organizations and businesses promoting “green” products, conservation and ways to live a more eco-friendly, sustainable lifestyle. The fun-filled morning culminates with an Arbor Day tree planting dedication in Veterans Oasis Park. Outdoor activities may be cancelled due to inclement weather. 





Butterfly and Dragonfly Bash

9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Dragonflies, damselflies and butterflies flutter over the wetland habitats at Veteran's Oasis Park during the late summer. Celebrate these beautiful insects with us through guided nature walks, hands -on crafts, and presentations available for all ages. Walks are approximately 15 minutes in duration over easy terrain. Don’t miss this free fun-filled, family-friendly special event!

Fishing Clinic and Outdoor Safety Event

Have yourself a “reel” good time at the Annual Urban Fishing Clinic and Outdoor Safety Event. Go fishing with the Arizona Game and Fish Department as they provide fishing tips and instruction throughout the morning. Rods, reels and bait will be available on a first come, first serve bas
