Reuse: A Kind Way to Recycle 

Reuse is a kind way to recycle. Donating items rather than throwing them away can support local charity efforts to sustain job training and self-sufficiency programs for people with disabilities and families in need.

TRASH TO TREASURE PROGRAM

The City of Chandler now offers a new program, Trash to Treasure, for residents dropping off waste at the Recycling Solid Waste Collection Center.  Gently used items are sorted by residents and dropped into donation bins.

 Trash to Treasure accepts the following items:

  • Large Household Items - Large appliances*, furniture, exercise equipment*
  • Small Household Items - Toys*, home decor, small appliances such as vacuums & toasters*, etc.
  • Personal Items - Clothing shoes, accessories, bed and bath linens, etc.
  • Construction Material - Cabinets, sinks, fixtures, tools, etc.

*ITEMS MUST BE IN WORKING CONDITION

Non-Profit Partners:

These organizations will rotate collecting the items, but other non-profit groups are welcome to join.
