The Chandler Fire Department is an internationally accredited department comprised of 207 sworn and 22 civilian personnel, serving a jurisdiction of more than 70 square miles and an estimated population of more than 252,000 residents.
Chandler Fire Department - What We Do
Today, the Chandler Fire Department is a progressive organization which has an interesting history of service to the City. The Department, which started out as volunteer at the time of its formation, is now an all career department. The emergency medical service system in the City of Chandler is a combined effort of the Chandler Fire Department, Southwest Ambulance and the Chandler Regional Hospital. Through coordinated efforts, the partnership has provided a timely and efficient system of pre-hospital emergency care to the citizens of the City of Chandler. The Department has ten stations, geographically positioned for a minimum response time.
