Labor Relations   The City of Chandler promotes and maintains a positive relationship between our employees and five employee bargaining units. Currently, the five bargaining units include: SEIU Local 5 - Administrative, Clerical, and Technical Unit SEIU Local 5 - Labor and Trades Unit IAFF Local 493 - Chandler Chapter Chandler Law Enforcement Association (police officer bargaining unit) Police Sergeants bargaining unit The City's Labor Relations also is involved in the Meet and Confer process, which results in a negotiated memorandum of understanding (MOU) for each of our bargaining units. In addition, the division helps resolve MOU disputes and provide MOU interpretations, conducts labor relations training, and finally, holds labor/management committee meetings.   The City and SEIU Local 5 mutually agreed to place the SEIU's MOU on the Web to improve communications between represented employees and organizations, which have a Meet and Confer process.
