Family Easter Celebration

The Easter Bunny is making an egg-citing return to Chandler for the City’s annual Family Easter Celebration. Come out to the Snedigar Sportsplex for all the fun!

Each year, the Easter Celebration in south Chandler provides some of the most enthusiastic Easter Egg Scrambles in the Valley for kids up to 9 years of age. In addition to the egg hunts there will be information booths, displays, and interactive amusements. There will be a Family Easter Basket Give-Away.

Schedule of Events

10:30a.m.                    Egg Scramble for All Ages (9 & under)

Minimal charges for some interactive children’s activities and photos with the Easter Bunny.  Also available for purchase are food and beverages.

Easter Egg Scramble
Get ready for a fun filled egg hunt! Make sure to join us at the Egg Scramble at 10:30 am. Each age group will have a hidden golden ticket inside an egg to win a prize!!

     - It’s FREE
     - All of the age groups will start at 10:30am on 4 different fields.
     - There will be a feather flag indicating the start line for each of the fields.
             *Ages 0-2 will have the green flag
             *Ages 3-4 will have the yellow flag
             *Ages 5-6 will have the purple flag
             *Ages 7-9 will have the blue flag
     - All of the eggs will have a piece of candy or a toy inside. (4 Eggs per child please)
     - Make sure to look inside your egg for the golden ticket
     - Redeem the golden ticket at the information booth for your prize
     - If you have more than one child participating and wish to keep them together, please go to the older age category.

Coloring Contest
Kids 9 years and younger can participate in our annual coloring contest. 

Contest winners will be chosen from each of the following age categories: 
     - 2 years and under
     - 3-4 years
     - 5-6 years
     - 7-9 years.

Colored pictures must be dropped off at Chandler City Hall, 175 S. Arizona Ave. or mailed to:

Coloring page must be submitted no later than Friday, April 11, 2014. You do not need to be present to win.

Family Easter Basket
Come to the Information Booth to enter to win the Family Easter Basket. 1 ticket per family member. The winner will be drawn at 11:30am and must be present to win.

Performers Bios
Kyrene Del Pueblo Middle School Show Choir
The Kyrene Del Pueblo Middle School Show Choir is made up of 6th, 7th and 8th grade students from Chandler, Arizona attending Pueblo Middle School in the Kyrene School District. This 35 member ensemble is chosen by audition and directed by Chris Frazer. The Pueblo Show Choir is proud to represent their school by performing at community events as well as national competitions. Presently, the show choir is performing a holiday show that they will perform throughout the valley at events such as the Tumbleweed Tree Lighting Ceremony, various retirement homes, and holiday boutiques. In the spring, they will prepare a new choreographed set of fast-paced fun entertainment and perform at elementary schools and other community events. Since the group began, the Pueblo Middle School Show Choir has traveled to California each spring to compete and has brought home top honors each time.

Desert Star Dance
Desert Star Dance studio in Chandler Arizona. Desert Star Dance is located on the border of Chandler and Gilbert on the NE corner of McQueen and Ray. Desert Star Dance offers classes in all dance styles for children ages 2 and 1/2 and up.

Vendor Information
The Family Easter Celebration is seeking vendors to participate in this year's event.  Interested vendors must submit an application either online or by mail to the City of Chandler.  

Submitting Application:
     - The 2013 Vendor Priority application deadline is Friday, February 7, 2014.
     - The general vendor application deadline is Friday, March 7, 2014 or when all space has been reserved.
     - If you are a new organization applying to participate in the event, your application will be accepted on a first come first serve basis once
       the priority deadline has expired. You are encouraged to submit an application prior to the 2013 vendor priority deadline and applications
       will be held in the order they are received.
**PLEASE NOTE – Water Sales at event is done exclusively by the Mayor’s Youth Commission; no vendor is permitted to sell water
