From its founding, Chandler has been a city built on tradition and community. Our City hosts dozens of special events throughout the year that showcase our people, our heritage, and our values. Travelers from across the nation and the world are drawn to our fabulous celebrations like the famous Ostrich Festival.
Historic Downtown Chandler hosts a number of special events and festivals throughout the year, including the Jazz Festival, Greek Festival and the Cinco de Mayo Celebration, with its unique Chihuahua Races and crowning of the King and Queen Chihuahuas.
Each year's events culminate with the City's unique Tumbleweed Festival. A towering masterpiece of tumbleweeds, with glitter and lights is built and celebrated in the Tumbleweed Tree Lighting Ceremony and Parade of Lights.
