Jerry and Dakota have been playing Frisbee together since 2007, and have won over a dozen medals in Arizona and California. They qualified in 2009 and 2010 for the USDDN World Championships, and in 2012 for the Skyhoundz World Championships. Because of Dakota's amazing catching ability, Jerry likes to refer to her as "the Larry Fitzgerald of Dog Frisbee."
Bands' Bios
Exit 40 Band
Exit 40 is not just a freeway off-ramp – it is the name of a local variety band who has enjoyed bringing the sounds of country, old-time rock and roll, and standards to many valley clubs over the past few years. Our 4-piece group is made up of musicians who bring years of entertainment experience to the stage. As individuals, we have been involved in different musical projects, including writing and recording our own songs, and playing in various cover bands, spanning over 40(!) years. We draw on this wealth of experience to make each event a fun and memorable time for all.
Come Back Buddy
Come Back Buddy is a 3-piece rock-n-roll band inspired by the legendary "Buddy Holly and the Crickets." The trio's repertoire includes the music of many artists from the 50's era including Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Ricky Nelson, and of course, Buddy Holly.
Mike Randall provides Come Back Buddy's lead vocals and guitar. Accompanied by Janine Randall on bass and 1 of our talented drummers: Jim Marsella, Tim Kimbro, Carlos Almeida & Gary Randall, the band has a strong foundation... and a strong following!
Come Back Buddy has performed at large venues for the public, entertaining thousands and for private parties. They get their audiences up dancing, giving them an enjoyable and memorable experience! Past performances include the 80th Birthday Bash for Murray Deutch, publisher of Holly's hit 'That'll Be The Day.'
The group has been seen live on the 3 TV show 'Good Morning Arizona' on multiple occasions. The travelin' trio regularly performs throughout the West including Arizona, Nevada, California & Oregon.
Come Back Buddy has played class reunions, graduation parties, retirement celebrations, birthdays (all ages), wedding receptions, block parties, anniversaries and special events such as New Year's, July 4th, Christmas & Holiday parties.
The band's purpose is to add a fun musical atmosphere to any event. For some, Come Back Buddy is an education in nostalgia, while for others it's a walk down memory lane. So, if you're looking to turn back the clock, or simply want to hear some great music and hits from the 50's, Come Back Buddy is the band for you
The Villains with Gary Lee
The Villains play diverse American music, and look to do something a bit different every so often. This year we are rolling with Gary Lee, a classic and new country vocalist /guitarist, throwing down some country styling along with maybe some old rock and a surf tune or two.
The Villains are a band that plays for the enjoyment of the crowd and themselves, with under polished and off beat tunes, seeks to capture the romantic view of a bygone era in the 21st century, with their take on garage, surf, folk, country and psychedelic sounds, and have been playing in the Phoenix area since 2007.
Members for 2012
Garry Lee - Vocal and Guitar
Paul Aguilar – Bass
Paul Baker – Fiddle
David Van Druff, Guitar, bass and vocals
Donald Carroccia – Lead Guitar and Vocals
Bobby Prechtl – Percussion,/Drums
Bill Swortwood – kitchen sink
AKA The Surf Guitar Villains, have played at the 2009 Woofstock show here in Chandler, at the Fiesta Bowl Block Party, and backed up American Indian Artist James Luna at his Oct 2010 live show in Mesa. They can be found at the local music scene in Mesa and the East Valley, and proudly play for Woofstock whenever asked, and have 10 independently produced album on CDBaby and ITunes.
